Everyone can gather around the large table. The open-plan living and dining area, with restored wooden furniture, satellite TV and Wi-Fi, is the heart of the lodge. The modern fitted kitchen has an oven, ceramic hob and dishwasher.

Hike or cycle in summer, or discover snowy landscapes in winter: the Rennsteig ridge trail is just a few metres from the Baude. Cube e-bikes, children’s bikes, bike racks and child trailers can be hired through DH Ferientraum Thüringen, with delivery to the property on request.

The hiking lodge in Steinheid accommodates 12 people. There are two bedrooms with three bunk beds each, each with a shower and a separate toilet.
Catering
The ski and hiking lodge is self-catering. A lounge with restored old wooden furniture, a modern fitted kitchen including a dishwasher, and satellite TV provides everything you need. There is a barbecue area beside the lodge.

Base prices according to the price list, last updated September 2026. Online nightly rates may be higher depending on your travel dates. The total price applicable to your stay is shown before you complete your online booking. All prices include statutory VAT. The base price is per night for up to six people; a maximum of twelve guests can stay.

For stays of 7 nights or more, you receive a 10% discount on the accommodation price. Additional services are excluded. The usual minimum stay depends on availability.
Please select the winter surcharge: For overnight stays from 1 October to 15 March, an additional €5 per person per night is compulsory. Please select this surcharge under optional services in the online booking. If it is not selected, it is not yet included in the displayed total price.

Arrival and your stay
You will find us on Schanzweg, on the sports ground site in 98724 Neuhaus am Rennweg, Steinheid district. Check-in is from 15:00; please plan to arrive by 20:00 or arrange otherwise with us. On departure day, leave the lodge swept clean by 10:00.
Keys are handed over via a key safe. You will receive the access code once all payments due before arrival have been received in full. Instructions for the heating and your stay are available in the house.
Booking, payment and documents
Book directly through our online booking. The contract is concluded upon the binding booking confirmation. Unless otherwise agreed, 25% is due when booking and 75% no later than four weeks before arrival; for short-notice bookings, the confirmation applies.
